Abby Gray

Dr. Abigail Gray brings extensive experience leveraging implementation science to facilitate transformative, equity-focused change in schools and districts. In her prior role as Deputy Chief of School Climate and Culture for the School District of Philadelphia, Dr. Gray oversaw the development, scale-up, and implementation of evidence-based Tier 1, 2, and 3 programming in social-emotional learning, restorative justice, and student well-being across 220 schools. She has deep expertise in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and led a district-wide effort to develop and scale MTSS resources, guidance, and training for school staff. Previously, as Senior Researcher with the University of Pennsylvania’s Consortium for Policy Research in Education, she served as Principal Investigator for multiple federally funded research studies focused on both impact and implementation of school-based programs. Dr. Gray is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches doctoral-level research methods courses.
