SEL slide decks now in Spanish!
At TRAILS, we believe all students should have access to quality mental health programming, regardless of their English fluency. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that all SEL curriculum slide decks are now available in Spanish. These flexible student-facing materials are perfect for SEL educators working to support students from Spanish-speaking backgrounds.
All SEL curriculum slide decks available in Spanish
To access student slide decks in Spanish, navigate to an SEL curriculum and select a lesson. You’ll find the available languages by clicking the translation icon next to the Google Slide Deck button.
Just a reminder: the slide decks alone don’t cover all the learning objectives for each lesson. If you’re using them, please also reference the PDF agendas for full context to make sure nothing important is missed.
Let us know how it’s going
Making our materials accessible in multiple languages is a large undertaking. Please report a problem if you come across any snags with our translated materials.
Lastly, if you have feedback on how we can improve at meeting your language needs, please contact our Culturally Responsible Programming team, at crp@trailstowellness.org.
Other news
We released two new SEL resources for grades 9–12. Consider these activities for either extending the lesson or swapping out activities.
Assertive Communication Roadmap
This interactive resource provides students with clear steps for communicating assertively. You may invite students to work independently or in pairs to map an example situation.
Find this resource in the Lesson 18 agenda for grades 9–12 under Extending the Lesson.
Social Media Partners
Use this activity to establish student pairings at the beginning of the year, and return to these pairings to facilitate future discussions.
Find this activity in the 9–12 Unit 1 Alternative Resources collection.
